What a way to start the year!

Our club had its first meeting in traditional style, with a twist. For years, it has been a tradition for the club to offer crémant and galette des rois, the typical pastry for Epiphany, at our first meeting of the year.

The twist this year was combining that with an evening where members can send in photos on any theme.

The new formula clearly worked, as 25 people showed up, among them 5 who were visiting for the first time, or have just registered as members – a warm welcome to Elena, Karin, Laurent, Paulo, and Paulo (indeed, there were two, next to Paolo who has been a member since last year).

We saw lots of great photos, from dog-sized antelopes to landscapes to street photography – and Luis gave us a preview of next week’s meeting which will focus on black and white photography.

Thanks everyone for making it a great evening, and to Dirk Westermann for catching the moment in these beautiful photos.
