Equipment

The CIEL has a wide range of high-quality equipment covering virtually all the needs of amateur photography. This equipment can be used freely by members on the premises (although some of it requires a certain amount of training due to its complexity, relative fragility or cost) and can be borrowed for one or two weeks.

If you have any queries, please contact Jean-Baptiste Bertrand, our equipment manager (see Contact page).

Studio

The studio is equipped with a set of Profoto electronic flash units and numerous accessories (softboxes, reflectors, umbrellas, snoot, flashmeter, etc.), as well as several backdrops (black, white, grey and burgundy paper).

You need to have taken a studio photography course to be able to make a booking request.

Viewing the photographs

Photographs are viewed on a 75-inch Sony 4K screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.

Library

We have over 350 art and technical reference books, monographs and exhibition catalogues. If you would like to suggest interesting books or photo magazines, please contact our librarian (see Contact page).
